I usually feel ambiguous appreciation when observing Portraits at the National Gallery for example.
I am so often stretched to look for some connection....beyond ..so thats what they looked like!
My haven though always seems to be found in Texture.
When observing the work of Henny Beaumont I am immediately pulled in...I like this!
Colour ....strong but subtle lines...a work so often in progress. From where both integrity and authnticity emerge. The written narrative is transformed onto the canvas.
